  1. I'm trying to encode and burn a AVI file to DVD format. I've followed the directions in the "how-to's" and managed to create 2 folders, one VIDEO_TS and one AUDIO_TS, the video portion is fine but the audio folder contains no files. Both the Apple dvd player and VLC both see the "disc" but no audio plays. The original source AVI file plays fine in VLC as well. I've tried both encoding to mpeg2enc and ffmpeg using both the ac3 setting and the passthrough setting (thought it was worth a shot) in the audio pane, but no difference.

    Any ideas? thanks

What are the specs of the AVI? Audio stream in particular.

    This is normal. You're creating a DVD-Video, not a DVD-Audio.
One other thing, did you try to encode with AC3 or MP2 audio?

This does point to a problem, tho'. Drop the VIDEO_TS folder back on ffmpegX, what does the source audio window say?
