    Hello all,

I have been doing this for a while now, so I have a pretty good grasp of what I need to do to ensure my DVD is compliant. However, is there a program out there that will test the DVD files to ensure they meet the universally accepted standards (ie. if there is video of different resolutions on the same VTS, a red flag will show up).

    Thanks!

Your authoring software *should* flag this for you. There was a piece of software being discussed within the last few days that did compliance test compiled discs. It was around the US$500 price point. Search for compliance and I'm sure you will find it.

    Thanks for the reply,

Been looking for quite some time, and I cannot find the thread you were referring to. Authoring programs do flag certain problems, but I find that they often miss more subtle things that most DVD players won't have trouble with. However, I'd like to make the DVDs as close to perfect as possible.

If you're making a DVD yourself, make sure if meets with the details under "What Is... DVD" in the top left corner of the webpage.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

    Thanks guns!

Thanks for the link daamon- as I said, I already have a pretty good understanding, I was just looking for a program that would double check everything. I am trying to add advanced features, and I would like to ensure that I don't slip up anywhere.
