  1. just got my new drive, installed ok. first thing i did was flash to new firmware 1.37. every time i try to burn a dvd, no mater what progy i use,it fales during leadin, no msg or nothing just sits there trying to write leadin. locks the drive so i have to reboot. anybody have this prob before and find the solution? is there a way to go back to the firmware it shiped with? i did some searching, didnt come up with much. i need like a guide, very noobish when it comes to flashing. dont even know if firmware is the prob.

  2. You certainly not the first to experience firmware issues. Unfortunately for you once you've flashed your drive you can not revert back. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

    check out the PIONEER FORUM at Cdfreaks.com and the FORUM at THE FIRMWARE PAGE INDEX.

    I'm sure someone there could help you out. The firmware that you used was it a official firmware from Pioneer or a hacked firmware?

    This is why I like my BENQ dvd burners so much cause you can flash the drive as many times as you want with new and old firmware. You can go back to a older firmware if you want to.

  4. i asume it was good firmware, got it off the pioneer site. is there a guide for DVRFlash. i read it might be able to help me reflash. cant find a guide here.

    the firmware page forum has a huge thread on DVRFLASH. go there to ask for help.
