    If it helps...

If the saved subs are off, in subtitle workshop you can open the text sub file, set timing on the left, maybe convert it by doing a save as & reopen (sometimes it's helped me), then play and adjust with video playback in subtitle workshop.

If it's the authoring prog that changes them, I think DVDLab Pro accepts a few different formats -- maybe try one of the others? If the subs are off a set amount, the sub dialog lets you shift all the subs forward or backwards.

For authoring software, the easiest in my opinion *for subs* is Sony's DVDA, starting with V. 2. Subs appear in a track above the video (& on video preview), and just drag to sync.

According to the DVDLab Wiki, DVDLab does automatic conversions when it loads the time.

timecode such as 00:15:49:200 or 00:15:49:20 will be imported to DVD-lab as 00:15:49:06 for NTSC
    from http://dvdlab.wikicities.com/wiki/Subtitles

So that's NOT your problem, unless the import is completely broken.

On the other hand, the SON format seems to have timecode in the way DVDLab prefers, and so far the only program I've seen that generates SON is MaestroSBT

Which brings up a question... Is your DVD in PAL, or NTSC? and what frame rate did you set your Subtitles to? (yes, it DOES matter!)
