    Hello,

I have a problem with my Adobe Premier Pro. I have an MPEG-2 movie on my computer which I am trying to edit. When I play any portions the unedited version in Adobe Premier Pro 'source' monitor, the audio plays completely fine.

However, I can not hear any audio in the ‘result’ monitor of Adobe Premier Pro after I perform any of the editing actions, such as cut, join, effects, etc. on portions of the movie.

I tried rendering the edited movie (to avi), and still the same problem: i.e. the video and all the video effects were rendered fine, but there was absolutely no audio (I tried watching the edited movie in all softwares I had like WMP, WinAmpl, Realplayer, etc.). I must note that the unedited portions still play fine (i.e. with audio) in the ‘source’ monitor of Adobe Premier Pro.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue pleaseee?

    Many thanks in advance,
    Payam

Check your project settings and see what format you are telling it to save the audio as.

What is the audio compression for the original MPEG..
You should try to uncompress any .AC3 or .MP2 audio to a 48khz .WAV file, and drop the .WAV file onto the timeline...Much easier for editing...
Are u using any plugins to view your MPEG on the timeline?
It could be, that Premiere knows to decompress the audio but can't recompress for output..
