    Hi, new to this forum

I have recently been trying to put a film on to a vcd with not great results.

It was an AVI file that i then used avi2dvd to convert to an Mpeg1 then i used Imgburn to burn it on to a vcd.

But when i put it into my DVD player it only plays the audio and no picture which is doing my head in

Any help in what i am doing would be appreciated

so avi2dvd gave you mpeg-1 - what did you use to create a VCD before burning it ? AFAIK, imgburn doesn't create VCDs, it just burns images. You need to create a VCD (smiliar to authoring a DVD) with something like VCDEasy. Otherwise you just have an mpeg-1 file on a disc. Some players will play this, many won't.

I haven't created a VCD in years, so you will have to use the search function.

VCDEasy. Last free version is plenty good enough! If VCDEasy can't burn on your system, just uncheck the Burn checkbox, and let it just create the cue/bin. Then use "anything" (even Nero!) to burn the cue/bin.
