Where can I find some quick & simple guidelines for stripping content from a DVD structure? For example, can it be done with IfoEdit public version? Or is there another tool that can provide easy deletion with preview capability?

Have you tried dvd shrink? Its quite simple. Though its not updated anymore. If it can't rip a disc rip it to the harddrive with dvdfabdecrypter in iso mode then open the iso in dvdshrink. It has a preview window so you can play each individiual video BEFORE you rip it.

When you say stripping content, do you mean like bonus features, extras, warning screens etc...
If so, Try either VOBblanker or TitleSetBlanker. -

Yes, I was specifically interested in removing areas such as bonus materials or unwanted previews.
