    I just built a new computer, a AMD 1900xp, Soyo Dragon Plus Motherboard w/onboard sound.

    When I open up MMC it changes the recording input from
    Line-In to CD-Audio. It is driving me crazy, has anyone had this type of problem with MMC and what did you do to correct it ??

    Re-do the intialation wizard (skip the autotune) and re-select your sound source. Failing that, do a clean un-install, and then re-install. Which MMC have you got?

    I have 7.1 and 7.5 both do the same thing...

    yup. do a reinstall and make sure you have the line in selected before the install, that fixed mine.

    Thanks, I will do that tonight. I have a lot of movies I have to re-record unless I want a bunch of silents...

    Well, tried reinstall, but still the same thing. I ended up hacking the registry and changing 2 setting and deleting 4. Works great now...
