  1. Is there an MPEG1 multiplexer that creates MPG files compliant with VCDEasy (not require autopadding)? I have tried TMPGenc mpeg tools, and mplex.exe neither worked.

What exactly are you trying to multiplex?? VCDEasy is about the least picky prog I know of for MPEG-1 streams. Womble's MPEG-2VCR has good multiplex tools but I would guess it's not the multiplex that's the problem it's either one of the streams individually.

  4. video is mpeg1, vbr, 23.976fps, progressive, created with mainconcept
    audio is mpeg1 layer2, 44100khz, 128kbps, ripped with avidemux2, encoded with besweet

I usually do tmpgenc mpeg tools with non standard vcd setting but now it is freezing on me.
