  2. You can have up to 32 timer settings.

The easiest way to make a setting is to use the TIMER REC button on the remote. That takes you directly to the manual timer setting window.

  4. After you've made one, you can press the Home Menu button (or TIMER REC works too) to exit the settings window. Pressing TIMER REC again will start a new one.

As posted , use the remote initiate Schedule Recording
In the lest side "Recorder Options", you can program the same show "Once, Weekly, Daily"
Display, Help and Info buttons on the remote expand the information for the scheduled recording.

After setting the time, channel, input, recorder, quality and frequency, "Schedule Recording". If you want to schedule another recording, use the Timer Rec button or Repeat the process.

I had to jump through houps to Stop the TV Guide from accessing the hard drive. All I do is manual record and timer record.

To use the TV Guide, you will need a signal to the 533. I think you can pass through the 533 if your Cable is RF.

    Cable box >RF in on 533 >RF out of 533 > TV
Try having the channels Auto Program. IF the channels do not match what the TV guide shows, look for options (in TV Guide Setup) to use a different cable version.
