    I'm converting avi files to mpg format for dvd authoring. I used TMPGEnc Xpress and that worked fine but the quality was ok.

    I'm using Ulead Video Studio 9 for dvd authoring but it takes too long for it to encode to mpg in that program, so I'm looking to use a seperate program and have the mpg's already made to almost similar quality as the original avi.

    Are there any different programs that do the same type of converting(avi to mpg) and produce excellent video quality, thanks.

    So far only CCE is decently fast. Eveyrthing else is molasses slow. And even CCE is just a few percentage pts faster, not like 50% faster or something.
