In the older versions of goldwave, when one wanted to maximize volume, 2 options came up: maximize volume or change RMS setting. The new version doesn't have an RMS setting under the maximize volume section. Is it somewhere else or renamed to something else?
I had sometimes found that maximizing volume didn't actually maximize the volume if the rms was much too low. I think rms expanded the range of the volume. USing the current version, a file whose volume I maximized only reaches a peak at .7 on the graph.
Thx

I noticed the same thing. On this computer, i have a newer version and i'm disappointed at the lack of RMS normalizing. On my other computer, i have an older version, and i'm keeping it. in the meantime, i'm trying to find another program with RMS
