  1. I've had no issues in the past converting MOV files to MPEG2 in TMPGEnc Plus (latest version). Suddenly I get no video or sound in the resulting files. I tried uninstalling QT Alternative and using normal QT but TMPGEnc won't load at all with QT installed. I just get a crash warning. Uninstalling QT fixes that. I've tried various versions of QT Alternative, 1.47 use to work fine, but now I'm with 1.55. The newer ones with the V7 components give me nothing but problems in Firefox so I'm not up for trying that again. Regardless, it has no issue actually opening the files as the preview pane appears. No video plays during encoding though and audio and video files are empty when done. Has something happened that has caused the QT reader plugin to no longer work? I've seen a few others mention similar problems.

Maybe you can install QuickTime Alternative instead?

  3. Try to use TMPGEnc MOV Plugin
Another option is to load the mov file in VDUBMOD and frameserve it into TMPGEnc

  4. I am using QT Alternative now and I do have the MOV plugin for TMPGEnc. This setup use to work just fine. Suddenly I get nothing buy black screen and no audio. I'll try frameserving and see if that helps anything.

  5. Problem fixed I guess. I had to up the QT reader to highest priority in TMPGEnc and now it works fine. Evidently the directshow filter was kicking in instead and it wasn't working correctly for this.
