Frankly, I will be astonished if they're anything other than bottom-of-the-craptacular-barrel CMC Magnetics discs... Don't waste your money; it only encourages them to keep foisting this stuff on unsuspecting customers.

  6. well it is only 15 bux and I was wondering, Im going to test one now, and from the info its Princo that makes themw hich gets mixed reviews. But I will probably stick to Ritek which has been pretty reliable for dvd and console.

    PRINCO ? Good lord....

You know, Verbatim are $15 per 50-pack on sale, and while they'll cost twice as much, twice as many of them will work compared to PRINCO crapola.

  10. I bought Verbatime 16X MIT from them and it throws in freeze at some point even at lower speed so Imagine what the other crap would be. Never had problem with any MIJ like Maxell , Fuji= Yuden

I have a 100, 50 spindle of -R and a 50 spindle of +r and both are Fuji mid code. Then again, I paid $0 for them too. It is amazing wht people return and then pitch out.

I got 3 (50packs) for only $35.00 from Office Depot last week and they were RICOHJPNR03. I made a burn of the exact same movie on both Verbatim 16x and these. Both came out with a 95% burn quality although the RICOHJPNR03 has slightly more PIF errors.
When I burned the same movie at 12x the burn quality was only 50%, so it doesn't like the slower burn speeds. I use a NEC 3500 with Liggy & Dee's 2.TG firmware.

  14. Well, my batch sucked.. so Ill return it and just try out Taiyo Yuden -R (100 for 38 bux with free shipping). I always burn at 4x with xb and dvd just so I wont make coasters

Thanks all for the comments! This site has helped me so much and I knew I would find answers!

i bought a pack of these last night. I can't remember the last time I made a coaster until these. three attempts, three coasters. Office max had no questions when I returned them today.

    I don't recommend them.

  17. Just tryed a spindle of +R and -R,

Lets see -R were princo 4X, bottom of the top few disks were damaged...

The +R were optodisc 4X, 6X and 8X silver top. They both burned Ok once I got past the top few Princo's. My second batch of discs that I bought when I first got the Sony 500A were princo 1X, I just played one of them last week, still OK. 15cents a disc for discs that'll be burned and watched once shortly thereafter, that's OK. I'll still use MIJ for keepers, MIT for Keepers where if they die, Oh well, OM 15centers for one time, time shifting.
