    Hi.

I've searched but can only find how to add srt, sub (text file).

I have a dvd with UK and NL subs (25fps movie) and would like to add the danish subs that i got from another dvd (the subs are in the idx/sub format), but where the picture quality was not that good.

Is it possible to do since they both are at 25fps?
Maybe removing the UK, NL subs so I only have the danish one on it?
Or i must rip the subs to srt first?

    If possible how?

    Thx
    GDK

instead of convert the video to mpeg you demux the video from dvd with dvd decrypter and then reauthor with muxman.

    Crap... sorry..
The subs in the idx/sub file are a bit out of sync, is it possible to adjust them within the files to keep the idx/sub format or do i need to subrip them to srt ??

    Thx

IIRC, there's a resync utility in the VobSub package - there was a thread on that topic about a month ago.

  6. Hi-

I was just playing around with this. I don't think Resynch can do it. At least I can't find any way to adjust the timings of VobSubs when using it. But the Cutter Utility that also comes in the VobSub package can do it. Sort of.

You check the "Modify timestamps to count from start" box and fill in the delay in the start box and save. But it only seems to be able to go one way. You can only make the subs play earlier. If you want them to play later, there's no way to set a negative delay that I can see.

You can also adjust the delay in the IDX file. There's some instructions in there on how to do it, although you may have to experiment to get it right. But after doing it myself and then using Sub2Sup on a delayed IDX file, it didn't keep the changes. So I don't know. Maybe I did something wrong. It works when playing with an AVI, but not when being converted to DVD SUP files. I could be wrong though.
