Since installing the latest nero, 7.0.1.2 or something, I have noticed a lot of difference in the burn results for example data cds containing software and audio cds, audio cds would skip being played from cd on the pc or stereo.
Software would have files missing during installations.
Is this to do with me doing too much background activity during burns?
Isit to do with the anti virus running in the background which slows down the pcs performance?

The transfer rate graphs r terrible.

    What is causing this?

    Cheers.

Did you install it from a CD, or download it from the Nero website? Might need to reinstall. If you got it from somewhere else, probablly a corrupt installer.

Nero ships with a utility called speed disk which can check your disks after a burn. DVD Info Pro is also good for this. You can do read test and speed tests
