I'm new to burning movies. But this morning I did burn a disc and put it in my DVD player, Sony S300, It played great, had about video tape picture quality and good sound but about 20 minutes into the movie it froze I stopped the disc and restarted it and fast forwarded to the same spot on the disc and it did the same thing only this time it stuttered in other spots in the movie too.
I burned the disc with Nero 5.5 on a Digital Media CD-RW disc with a phillips PCRW1208.
Don't know if I have just been looking in the wrong spots in the website but it seems I have been everywhere and can't find any info on stutters or stalls. If anyone has any info or can point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it.

I have same problem like you. I dont know why but some movies that i encoded do this thing but only at the end of the movie or disc. Here some insturctions might help you
1. Never set the maximum bitrate higher than ~2600kbps (2400kbps for the video + 192kbps for the audio)
2. Use the I-author and Easy CD for authoring (someone kept saying the I-author muxer makes the correct video file)
Don't forget i always do the aboves even so i make wrong disc.
