I have a full dvd on my hard drive and I want to strip out any extras for burning to DVD5. When I use shrink I get the error Overlapped I/O operation is in progress. I have no luck with Nero recode either. I have used Ifoedit to create new IFO and BUP files but still no luck, Recode fails about half way through processing.

    Anybody have any ideas

    Peace.

  2. I had a similar problem with a DVD authored by me. It had collections of CIF(352x288) & D2(352x576) mpg source files. The authored DVD was 4.6GB, I needed to get it down to 4.38GB.

Every thing failed including DVDShrink3.2. The transcoding would fail at about 55%.

Finally DVDShrink3.0Beta5 saved the day. Give it a try.

No, I have never used vob blanker. I notice something about the last vob, it contains the last part of the movie, after the titles have run a documentary starts. Could this be the problem?

So here it is, I have copied the vobs i need out of the VIDEO_TS folder, 3 are fine the fourth contains the end of the movie with end titles and a documentary.

What would you do in this situation?

Also, I tried DVDshrink3.0Beta5 with no success

    EDIT

I solved the problem by finding only the vobs that contained the movie and isolating them in a new folder, then used ifoedit to create ifo,bup files and then burned with dvdsanta.

    Thanks for the input fellas.

    PEACE
