    i have an AVI file, i can played in my computer, but i cant burn into VCD using nero, and using virtualdubmod also cant be converted.

    how can i repair the broken AVI file?

    There are giudes on that left. Basically, you need VirtualDub MP3 Freeze to scan for the bad parts, then cut those out.
    Much trouble. Too much IMO if it's not a very precious piece of video.

  3. You could try to demux the AVI file to video and audio components using VirtualDubMod. Encode the video portion to VCD compatible specs using TMPGEnc. Encode the audio to MPEG-1 Layer 2 at 224Kbps, 44.1 Khz.

    When you have both the separate video and audio then mux the files to MPEG using TMPGEnc once again.

    Burn the MPEG file to CD using Nero or any other software. In Nero, if you get a warning that the file is not compatible to VCD standards, just ignore it and burn.
    When I was born I was so shocked that I could'nt speak for 18 months.
