    I have a dvd-rw that I think I blanked or erased with Nero 6.
    The prolem is if I put the dvd into the dvdwriter it locks up Nero6 and Windows Explore if I try and use it.

    Can you a screw up a dvd-rw that it is unusable?

    History of what I used it for, First time the dvdrw was used.
    Ripped a dvd , burn dvd with Nero 6 , then erased dvd-rw with Nero6.

    I've had this happen before. Fortunately in my case a simple system restart allowed me to access the RW.

    use Nero disc speed to do a full erase of your RW, it sounds like either format is not right or damaged and it tries to read it and keeps searching.

    A restart did nothing to cure the problem. I evern attempted to try something in safe mode but it locked Window Explorer there to.

    try dvddecrypter to erase it,if that doesnt work,its only a few pennies for a new one,and they make great targets for air pistols.!!
