Hi.
Have any of you ever ordered tmpgenc online using their website order form.
If so is it safe?
I wanted to check as the ordering page doesn't look quite as well made as the rest of the site.
Thanks

No problems here. I ordered TMPGENC DVD Author for myself and MPEG Editor + Express for a customer. There order form is typical of online order forms and I haven't had my credit card misused since ordering almost or over a year ago.

In my opinion there shoud not be any problem in downloading TMPGEnc products if you are downloading from http://www.tmpg-inc.com

Same here ... No problems ordering on-line from http://www.pegasys-inc.com

I have purchaes the entire line of TMPGEnc oriducts over the years and have never had a problem. TMPGEnc also has an agreement with TSunami. They offer several programs close to the TMPGEnc line. They all work very well and once again no credit card problems.. I considered these companies to as good as Newegg.

The AC-3 plugin for TDA is not free, it costs $29. You can find information about it here: http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tsp_ac3.html
Go to http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/shopping/tsp_ac3_d.html to buy and download it.
Once the plugin is installed, it will be recognized automatically by TDA. -
So I buy it from http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/shopping/tsp_ac3_d.html, and install it? Do I install when TMPGEnc is open or before I use it?

My guess is that the VOB files you edit have an audio track encoded in AC-3 and if you don't have the AC-3 plugin for TDA, you won't be able to hear anything. Once you install the AC-3 plugin, TDA will be able to decode the AC-3 track in your VOB files and you will be able to hear the sound. You will also be able to encode an audio track to AC-3 if the source is not in AC-3.Originally Posted by Denvers Dawgs

Yes ... with plug-in you'll be able to hear ac3 audio in the edit screen. Also, the ac3 plugin will give you the option for TDA to encode PCM audio to ac3 and, if you want, reencode MP2 audio to ac3. Personally, I leave MP2 audio alone but allow it to encode PCM to ac3.Originally Posted by Denvers Dawgs

I just bought and downloaded TSUNAMI DVD Author PRO $99.00 and am very happy with it. It is the easiest authoring program I've found to use, & does everything I need. Supports Dolby Digital Audio (2ch AC-3). Dual Layer 8.5 gig support. Can preview your move with the simulator before you save to harddrive or file, or write to DVD. It has a wizard to walk you through.
If you want to check it out here is the URL:
