  1. I've been reading about Cuttermaran and it looks like it had the features I wanted, so I'll try it out when I get home from work. However, I do have a question regarding one thing.

Can it combine demuxed files (audio + video) without issues? I know it can cut, but I didn't read anything about combining. Basically, I want to combine my mp2 + ac3 files to one big file without reencoding and not causing and a/v off-sync.

If it can't, is there anything else to recommend?

    Thanks.

  2. Hi,

I'm glad you chose to Give Cuttermaran a try.

Seem to be having trouble with a simple test clip. Fixed.

As long a Audio is not Selected.

But for obvious reason the Video and Audio must be of the same "Spec". But Can also Use TMPGenc as an Encoder.

    Hope this helps.

  3. Not trying to encode as I'm already using TMPG to encode... just need to combine the finished products (separate vid+audio) and wondering if Cuttermaran can do the job.

  4. Yes it can do what you want.

What I meant by (Encoding),was that you Specs have to be the same if not you can use TMPGenc to Encode.

  7. Load the video, load the audio, Select Actions, Settings, Mux tab, tick finally mux result, give it an output path.
select Cut Video/Audio. It should save it.

  8. Hmm... I think what I originally posted may have confused some people.

I'm trying to combine 2 or more video files (all w/ separate audio files) into one large video + audio file. I just looked at reboot's suggestion, and that will combine the file audio + video file, whereas I'm trying to combine the video files + audio files (but keep them separate) so they are in sync.

I used DVTool to do this, but my video file ended up being 58 minutes where my audio file was 62 minutes, so when I authored the DVD, the a/v was out of sync.

Again, I'm trying to join multiple video files, not mixing the video and audio into one AVI.

  9. Fairly easy. Open the first video/audio, select the first frame to cut in and the last to cut out. Bring it to the cut list.
Now load the second video and the second audio, select the first frame to cut in and the last to cut out.
Repeat the same for the other segments you want to join. At the end in the cut list you should have all the video and audio segments you want to join. Click Cut video/audio. Also you can preview the join points.
