  1. I just downloaded the newest version of DVDFAB Decrypter ver. 2.9.6.2 and McAfee VirusScan poped up and said, "A virus has been detected. The file C:\.......\dvdfabdecrypter29[1].exe is infected by the Malformed Archive virus and cannot be cleaned." Anyone else get this? Anyone know what this means? I am currently running a full system check with McAfee.

  2. McAfee just finished and said nothing was infected. So, I guess all is good...Still would like to know what "Malformed Archive" means.

Malformed Archives are archive containers (rar, zip, etc..) that use methods to evade detection by antivirus tools. It doesn't mean there is necessarily a virus, it just means the files are suspicious since someone tried to hide them in something that would could slip by undetected.

Where did you download this from?

  5. Thanks Adam. I downloaded it from http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm. After it downloaded and I closed the dialog box, that's when mcafee popped up and said that a virus had been detected.
