    Hi folks,

Having read and learnt a LOT on this forum in recent times, (1000 thankyous to all) i have finally completed my first DVD burning - having used DVD-lab, WinAVI, DVD Shrink, Nero ... complete with menus obviously .... took me a gazillion hours to figure it all out - and I derived a fair deal of satisfaction in the end with my production.

Just when I thought I was ready to unveil to wifey, snag that I simply can't resolve.

Needing assistance with Nero Cover Designer Version 2.2.

It seemingly works fine ... opens ok, can create till my hearts content but the minute i go anywhere near a Print function (incl control-p) the whole thing hangs and I have to close it down with control-alt-delete thingy. "Not Responding".

The version of Nero I have came off the disk that came with my DVD burner purchased about a month ago which also cam with PowerDVD, PowerProducer Gold, In CD, Acrobat Reader and a Drive Manual. I have uninstalled it and installed another version i downloaded off a torrent site, removed that and installed this one on 2 more occasions - same results.

I have today downloaded the latest printer drivers from Canon ... I have a PIXMA iP1500 ... cheap but seems to do all i need - maybe 6 months old and in top nick.

I have also emailed the support section of Nero 2 days ago ... alas no response.

Now i don't know a heap about these type of things, but although making every effort to delete all parts before a new installation of the program, is it possible duplication of some of the files could cause this ? This is a longshot - i repeat, don't know much about it.

Any assistance would be much appreciated, and if any advice (suggestions) are forthcoming, please explain like your talking to an idiot

Or conversely, can anybody recommend another Cover Designer program ... thats not too complicated but does everything Nero does for DVD's mainly.

    thanks in advance,
    Oink !

Version 6 above was obviously OEM.

And now to add to the above problem, just loaded an old copy on disk i found Version 5.5.

    Same problem.

While Nero cover designer is good, I've found Sure Thing CD/DVD Labeler Deluxe to be a much better package for labeling and creating cover art.
