I have some tv episodes in avi format all NTSC (23.976) but slightly different size and sound (that later I can just decompress to PCM audio) Obviously TFM wont let me convert them all at once and merge to create 1 video/audio file (Would of been too easy ). I am trying to get 4 avi's onto 1 DVD then author them with DVDLab. Does ne1 know how I could create either I video/audio file. Or 4 video/audio files but will still fit onto 1 DVD. Is there away to convert my avi's so they are all the same?
Cheers Jim

No need to work with the avi's.
Encode each into it's own mpg (or m2v/mpa preferrably!).
Load the 4 into DVDLab, author to your hard drive.
If it's too large for a DVD, use DVDShrink to make it fit, then burn.
Better to encode to the proper bitrate though, using the bitrate calculator, add up the running time of all 4 videos.Cheers, Jim

http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm tells you exactly how to encode each AVI to a seperate M2V file, ready to be brought into DVD-lab along with your audio (which you've encoded to AC3 or MP2 with another program). There's also plenty of other guides using plenty of other tools in the Guides section.
The key to making the files fit on 1 DVD is bitrate, and that's where a bitrate calculator is your friend. If in doubt, Google it.
