  1. Has anyone else had trouble backing up the first disc of this collection? The first episode doesn't want to jump from chapter three to chapter four, making the disc freeze up. I've tried both DVD Decrypter and DVDFab to decrypt the disc, and DVD Shrink to compress the video files. Nothing I do seems to cure the problem. I was just wondering whether anyone else had run into this problem. I *did* check the original disc and it plays fine...

I have backed this disc up two times, once with DVDRebuilder Pro (full disc backup) and one time with the new 1ClickDVD Copy Pro Beta (I am one of the beta testers) and both copies play perfectly. If I may put a plug in for 1Click Pro which is in final stage of beta testing produced results that are as good as the original disc when played back on my 42 inch wide screen.

Transcoding and burning with 1Click Pro took about 40 minutes total compared to the 6 plus hours of encoding and burning with DVDRebuilder.

Keep your eyes out for the official release of 1Click Pro it has great features for power users and as with the regualr 1Click it produces some fantastic results and fully supports epoisode discs.

  8. I tried the trial version of 1Click DVD today, and, unfortunately, was not impressed with the quality it gave me when compressing down to a 4.5G DVD size. I'm sticking with DVD Shrink for now.

I too use shrink often; but I have found no better software for backing up episode discs than 1Click and the pro version does a superb job on everything that was thrown at it during beta testing by and I have found that the tech support is second to none which is complemented by a forum of very knowledgeable users.

anyway, you can find the pro version on the new web site which is in the final stages and download a trail version of pro there also

  11. Rebuilder alongside CCE with 3 pass is untouchable as far as quality.

  12. I'll get bashed again here, or well, here goes. I've done a comparison with 1click pro vs rebuilder using cce sp 2.70 on 24, 1'st season # 5, full copy and to be truthfull the pic quality is the same as far as I can tell on my sharp X-R10 dlp projector. Rebuilder encode time was 290 min's oppose to the 45 min with 1 click.
