    I have tried to change the book type of my NEC ND-3550 to DVD-ROM (with NECFlash) but I get an error message saying that the firmware (1.04) does not allow such a change (I get the same error when I'm trying to change to that book type on my NEC 3500 also). Does anyone know if there is a firmware that allow this change of book type?

    There you can find FW with suitable bitsetting. Liggy, Herrie and Dee are names to watch for NEC firmware
