I have sucessfully converted and authored three avi files with SCVD2DVD v2. I'm pretty sure my problems are media related or burn related. I viewed the final encoded files in DVDShrink and the problems are not due to encoding.

The symptoms on the built-in DVD player on a new model Toshiba LCD TV look similar to the digital pixilation that happens when a digital signal is unstable like during a heavy rain storm with a satellite dish signal. Audio studdered as well. The audio and video just choked on an older Philips 724 stand alone player. The video would freeze, no pixilation however, and just pick up several seconds later. I noticed the time display on the front froze and skipped forward as well.

I re-burned the iso on another disk (DVD+RW) and forced the max speed 2x. This new disk seeems to play OK on both players. According to the DVDDecrypter log, the original burn was at 4x

I'm real new to this, and want to learn if this symptom was likely due to bad media, or too fast of a burn. I'm in no hurry to transfer these files, and if 2x max speed is the trick here, I can live with that. I have sucessfully backed-up several of my commercial DVDs with DVDShrink on to DVD-R media at max speed with no problems like this. Any advice here would be appreciated.

    What media did you use?

Fujifilm DVD+RW both times. I was going to burn it to DVD-R disks that I have also to see how they do.
