  1. I have dozens of MOV (QuickTime movies) file which I would like to convert to AVI format.

    File size is not matter but looking for best result (same as original). Can any one tell which codec I can use for excellent quality avi?

    I like XviD over all others mainly because of the "Target Quantiser" feature. Just set a TQ of 2 or 3 and you can almost guarantee that you will retain pretty much all of the quality from your source. You don't have to know much or worry about bitrates, etc either.

    Note sure about codec's you require , but the best program for rotten mov's conversion is called super , it dose a brilliant job and can convert to alot of differnt formats .

    I only found it after many of the game previews (movies) I downloaded where in mov format , and searched about for a conversion app that worked , its freeware , no hidden catches , apart from the box that appears before the app itself gets up and going .

    For those with those new mobiles that play video , its the tool to get .
