Hello,
Haven't posted in a while, I'm curious about using the new iPod video (haven't purchased yet) for bouncing movies to instead of burning discs just for regular movies that you'll probably watch once, I've been capturing AVI's and converting them with Nero Recode, I haven't got the processing power (or patience) for H264 so I'm wondering if I could get some guidance on frame sizes and bitrates for MPEG-4 that will balance file size and SVCD-like quality on a regular 28" TV. I have scanned several threads on iPod video settings but most of them pertain to either MAC software,H264 settings or settings for viewing on the iPod itself. I've been using 480x480 1250 kbps to experiment and it even looks decent (IMO) on my 17" monitor full screen however the file sizes are running almost a gig and a half for a 2hr. movie, I would really appreciate any guidance Thanks for your time - GMaq
