  1. Hi there, I've just got an iPod touch for my girlfriend and she wants some video on it...

this means I am trying to encode some stuff for her.

Unfortunately, the only thing I have made work is the virtual hub trial - not isquint and none of the options I've tried in ffmpegx. the annoying thing is my laptop is pretty ancient so the useless conversions take time!

a little help/point to a walk through would be ace.

I have been using all of the available presets in ffmpegx...

    The iPod mpeg-4 480w, iPod h.264 320w and iPod h.264 640w presets all didn't work?
Visual Hub is one of the few apps that claims to have support for the iPod Touch, so maybe that is the only logical choice at the moment.

Try the Videora iPod Touch Converter. Link to website is listed below. Be sure to check out the guides on the right side of the web page. Note I don't have a iPod Touch so I have not tried this particular converter, but I have tried their converter for the 5th Generation Video iPod and that program works OK for me.
