  1. I couldn't wait to try out the new Nero Vision 4 that is part of Nero 7 Ultra Edition, since Nero claims on their website that one of the new features is that you can "Start playback with a video title or slide show before jumping to the menu", i.e. a DVD intro-video before you get to the menu (at least that's how I interpret it). Well that's a feature I couldn't wait to finally have in Nero Vision, but when I tried the new software (I even downloaded the latest update release on Nov. 2nd) to my disappointment I found out that it is NOT there!! Thanks for NOTHING! This is a BASIC feature that most novice DVD authoring software has, I can not believe Nero missed this one AGAIN and even deceives the customer about it! Shame, shame!

You actually TRUST Nero for anything other burning, and then have expectations of its encoding/authoring abilities ?

TMPGEnc DVD Author can do it, but it's ugly. DVD-lab does it far better (and easier) IMO.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Well,

Simply TDA is a far cry from MOST. And DVD-Lab is NOT a newbie package IMO. I wouldn't necessarily call it a flaw in Nero, possibly a PLANNED omission.

Sony Movie Studio, Sony Movie Studio Platinum, and Vegas ALL have this feature. SMS I wouldn't call BASIC in features but I would consider INEXPENSIVE for what it does comparatively speaking.

agree completely, i use dvdlab pro for that, but as this question was posted in the newbies section i sugested TMPgenc DVD AUTHOR as its easier to setup than dvdlabpro, its uglier but easier.
