    My xbox media center will play .sub files

    In vlc however the .sub for the movie appears overlayed onto the movie itself while on my tv the sub is in the black bar on the bottom but my tv cuts the bottom half of the subs off. How do I open the .sub and reposition the subs to be a little higher
