  1. Hi, i've made a dvd of my boat trip a couples weeks ago.
My main movie is in LPCM 2 Channels for the audio
And the extra (my photo montage) is in mpeg-1 2 Channels.

My problems is that the extras does not play in some dvd players.

So how to convert the audio of my dvd and keep all my menu and everything.

    Thanks

I don't want to redo everything cause in the extra part, i have menu and submenu for the photos slideshoe

    Thanks again

This worked for me ONCE. I haven't done it since so just a thought. Create a 'test' folder. Copy the VOB in question from your DVD into this folder. Then TMPGenc (MPEG Tools to demux video and audio). Encode audio and then multiplex back together with TMPGenc (same, using mpeg tools). Now rename this new file the same as the VOB you copied. Now copy and paste this 'new' VOB into the DVD of your source. When asked to overwrite, select Yes. Now test it. If it doesn't work, you still have your original VOB to paste back in if necessary.

Depends on the DVD element:-To be honest you MAY have to start from scratch (i.e demuxing, redo audio and then reauthoring-NOT encoding). I'm only saying that because once you demux the VOB from the DVD and then remux with different audio it may be prone to problems cos of chapter points etc.

You could however 'TS' the photo (extras) as well as your music DVD part; just redo the original DVD and when reauthoring the whole lot back together, you could add the 'Extras' as a separate track-i.e one main menu showing 2 thumbnails-1 for DVD and 1 for Extras!! Still not taking away from the fact that you may (probably will) lose menus etc from the extras element.

Other options:-Vobedit, redo audio, remux, ifoedit possibly.

the audio should be either pcm or ac3 to be totally compliant for dvd specs. what program did you use to author your dvd?
I said I'll be done in a minute. I meant a Microsoft minute.
