When I capture something using my Hauppauge PVR-350 does anyone know if the sound that I capture comes out in 5.1 or 2 channel?

If it comes out in 2 channel is there any way I can convert it into 5.1 or higher?

if in 2 channel, What's the best program to use to convert into 5.1?

    ???
The PVR-350 captures two channels (left and right) of sound from analog inputs or the analog tuner.

    5.1 is 6 channel sound
(left, center, right, surround left, surround right and subwoofer)

    Now what are you asking?
You seem to be missing 4 audio channels.

Convert how? Make the same 2 channels play from the rear?
Maybe a LR mix from the front and subwoofer?

I guess you would get a mixer like Audacity and then use an AC3 encoder or a converter like BeSweet.

Much more fun would be building a Foley stage for creating your own surround sound effects.
