    i have some realvideo files (rmvb) and i want to convert the audio in them straight to mp3. does anyone know how to do this?

    Total Recorder or try Real7ime Converter / R7C.

    mplayer can decode to wav, then lame to encode to mp3. Should also be possible to pipe from mplayer to lame. Should be much faster than realtime.

    Otherwise you could try graphedit.
