Hi,
I wanted to download the english subtitles of a movie I have, because the one included in the DVD were for hard-earing people, and I prefer normal ones, in order to avoid the scene description subtitles like "[fast paced instrumental music]".
But, the one I downloads are slowly shifting. I'm thus searching a tool able not only to shift the subtitles, but to progressively shift the subtitles. Something like: increase each subtitle, starting with an increase of 0s at the beginning, and ending with 4 min of increase for the last subtitle.
Do you know of such a software? I would prefer for os x or unix, but I'm interested too if it's for windows.
Thanx!
PS: do you know a good srt editing tool on unix or os x?

Ok, I see there seem to be no solution out there.
Does anybody knows at least why the times are shifting like this, at least? I mean, how come that my DVD seem to be slower?? 4 min difference at the end.
On IMDb, they also say the movie is 108 min, while my DVD is 104 min. Crazy... -
It looks like you have a PAL DVD and NTSC subs, or vice versa. I'm a Windows user, and I usually solve this issue with Subtitle Workshop.
Best regards
