I was wondering and for what i read, this is imposible. But Iam not giving up so I wanted to ask for this:
I want to cut some frames of a VOB file, for censoring, BUT I want to keep the Original Menu and the subtitles.
Anyone know if this is possible?? Thanks for reading!!!!

There is no tool at the moment that will allow you frame accurate editing preserving all the streams without demultiplexing/editing/multiplexing. If GOP-accurate (~12 frames) editing is ok for you then DvdReMake can be used. Just import your disk, find the end of the scene you want to cut, right-click in preview and select "split here". Scroll back to the start of the scene, right click and "cut from here".
This way you will have all the streams, menus, etc as in original DVD. -
Sorry to threadjack but this is sort of similiar to something I want to do and can't seem to find a solution here or a guide.
I'm looking to sort of remake an existing DVD. I want to keep the original menus from the DVD. All I plan on doing is extending the main movie by adding parts that are not currently in it but retain the menu and stuff.
Ideally all I want to do is import the main movie VOB's into Workshop 2, find the spot where I want to add, then insert my VOB that is not included, then find the next spot and add another VOB. Then have Workshop 2 author a new set of VOB's. Then I'll swap out the originals for these new ones. Would I be able to edit the IFO files with IFOedit to fix the now different timed chapter points? -
@CaptainVideo
You can do it easily with DvdReMake Pro.http://www.dimadsoft.com - home of DvdReMake and MenuEdit tools
