I have had good results with this software. The issue I have is, when I started the conversion, I went to bed only to wake up not having it finish. What happened was I got a popup to start Vdub.I was not awake to click the button so it could not do it's job while I slept, therefore taking more time to finish.

Is there some setting I can set so I dont need to be around to click 'continue' buttons?

If it's the popup I'm thinking of, AFAIK virtualdubmod (which is what AutoGK uses) only gives you that popup the very first time you run it. From then on it should just go straight into it.

Could you set up another conversion and get a screencap of this popup and upload it here ? (You can always cancel the conversion afterwards)
    If in doubt, Google it.

I believe that is the popup I am getting.Funny thing is, I have seen it twice ( I have only done this DVD to XviD twice ) and both time I got it.The first time I was watching TV so I saw it and came over to click it.I too thought I would only get it one ( and it is the only popup given out of all the programs it uses ) but last night it did it again and I was not around to click.

I will try a small conversion to see if it comes back to see what it is.

    That's interesting. I'm assuming you hadn't reinstalled AutoGK and/or virtualdubmod inbetween ?

Sounds almost like a problem I've encountered at work a few times - commonly seen with Microsoft Office and clicking the Accept button - it's probably trying to write a value to a registry key that you can only get to if you're local administrator.
    If in doubt, Google it.
