    I have an avi file created with ffmpegx.

    Since I created it I would now like to split it into 2 chunks. Is there a w ay to do this without re-encoding. Can I simply load it into a program and cut in two?

    Uhm, ffmpegX? Load movie, go to Filters, enter time of the split, press "Split".
