My setup was Phillips 641 standalone dvd player going to infocus projector. Using svideo picture was quite good. I connected rgb cable and switched to progressive. Now colors are richer (a bit too much) on same default setting and grainer. In short it looked better on svideo. The reason I was using svideo because projector was 30feet away from my system and it came with a 30 ft svideo cable. I bought this 10 feet GE RGB cable and moved dvd player close to projector hoping to get better picture. Any suggestions, could it be bad cable or is it the dvd player. The test was done on original dvd matrix which looks like HD on svideo but not on progressive. appreciate any input.
