    Hi,

    I'm an audio engineer, and I'm totally new at making DVD's (video I mean). For my final project at school I have to make a dvd containing

    - video with sound
    - soundtrack (stereo) -> 96Khz -> 24bit if possible
    - surround track -> 96Khz - > 24bit

    Which format would be the best for this project (DVD, SVCD, ...?)? And which program would be suitable for the job (Premiere Pro?)

    Besides this, I'd like to make a menu for it, so people can click in the menu what they would like to see (video, track or surround track), but how can I integrate this, is there an option inside Premiere where I can make this menu with the different links, or does anyone maby have some tutorials where I can learn how to do all of that?

    Thanks in advance.

    Robin

    DVD would be the best format.

    Premiere Pro is fine for editing your video and probably for mixing your multi-track audio as well. For authoring you could look at Encore, DVD Workshop 2 or DVD Lab Pro. All are capable of handling multiple audio tracks.

    Ok thanks, I'll take a look at it, I'll probably mix my tracks in pro tools (with an SSL), and for the video, I'll bounce in stems (vocal, music, atmosphere), and then mix this in premiere if it would be possible..

    Thanks a lot for the links..
