CH-DVD 500 error

Hi!

I have a CH-DVD 500. However, when I inserted a dual disc dvd, it doesn't play and appears the following message: NO AUDIO - SUPPORT LATER. I went to Cyberhome homepage and they say to upgrade its bios, but they don't give the update file. Does anyone know what can I do to play dual disc in this DVD player?

I have the Cyberhome CH-DVD 500 but I do not understand exactly what you mean by a "dual disc dvd".

Can you please give more details on the disc that is giving you the error message please.

Hi!

DualDisc has both a CD player side and a DVD side, allowing artists to create in exciting new ways using audio, video and computer content - all on a single two-sided disc. You can find more informations at http://www.dualdisc.com..
The audio side plays normally, but the DVD side doesn't play showing the error message. I tried to play it in another DVD (manufacturer: COUGAR) and it played normally.

The Cyberhome CH-DVD 500 is one of the few DVD players that is most excellent at PAL to NTSC conversion (as well as NTSC to PAL) but firmware changes actually limit this ability. For that reason I am still using the original firmware (I have never upgraded the firmware).

I suggest you do not upgrade the firmware and simply live with the fact that you will have to play dual discs on another DVD player.
