i don't know why this is happening, but for some reason any single layer movie i have such as "Real Genius", "What the Bleep...", "Ladyhawke", that are 4.7 gig or less commercial dvd's, when ripped with DVD Decrypter and burnt with Nero comes out with a black screen on my standalone, but plays fine on my pc.
Other DVD's that are above 4.7 gigs (regular dual layer) movies are fine when ripped and burned,
what could be the problem?

For single layer, don't include Nero in the process. Use DVD Decrypter ISO->Read, ISO->Write
Read my blog here.

i just gave dvd decrypter iso read and write a shot with a single layer movie, and i still can only get a blank screen, or it won't load in the standalone.
this is really weird... -
When I first started backing up my movies I had the same problem. Try using another burning program .

i haven't tried to reauthor it yet, but i would prefer to keep the menu intact,
so far i have tried the latest version of nero, dvdsanta and dvd decrypter on 2 different computers, and all of them come up with the same result,
maybe i'm missing something for these single layer movies,
can anyone suggest something?
