  1. I am having a problem with DVDecrypter, and since support is no longer available, I am posting this here hoping that others that may have had this problem have sucessfully solved it.

I am using DVDecrypter on a WinXP Pro system to extract video and audio streams from a DVD that was recorded on a Samsung recorder (don't remember the model number right now). All is well until Decrypter finishes. Instead displaying the notification that it's finished, it just freezes. When this happens, looking into Task Manager shows that some seemingly random process (svchost; winlogon; explorer to name a few - there were others) has bumped the CPU usage to 50%, and can't be stopped by ending the process. The only way to stop this condition is by powering down the computer (Start-shutdown doesn't work either. I have to pull the plug and I know it's only a matter of time before system files are corrupted because of this).

Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you correct it?

Do you have nero installed on your pc. And if so, do you have it checked in DVDCRYPTER to burn with NERO. This is a known issue if so. IF not, I'm at a loss.

  4. The first time it happened, I shut the monitor off and let it run overnight. When I turned the monitor back on in the morning, the computer was in the same state it was in the night before. I admit that I have little patience for this sort of thing, but it seems to me that 7 hours is long enough to wait.

  5. @Harley2Ride - No, I don't use NERO. The burner I have installed is Sonic RecordNow.
