I am in the process of installing the settings on the 530 and cannot see a lot of difference when the AGC is off or on. I have read a few posts from members saying they have turned on the AGC setting.
Can someone please advise if the end result of the recorded material is better with the AGC on.
Any comments from members with this unit would be very much appreciated.

AGC = Automatic Gain Control. This keeps white levels (luma) within limits. There would be no visible effect if the source is already well regulated in this area (most are). It is probably most helpful for poorly recorded tapes or home video camcorder footage.
