    Ok, heres my problem.

I am burning anime using winavi 6.4, and it works fine, except the subtitles get cut off horizontally. I tried using version 7.0, the subtitles are fine but the video is really choppy.

I am looking for a program that can add the black bars to multiple files at once, and I need it to be a fast encoder to.

And I have a 1.9ghz system, and winavi takes 10 minutes for each file, thats why I love it. But it cuts off subtitles and that blows!

I have tried VSO divxtodvd but that makes the image to small on my screen.

  2. Try using Avisynth or FitCD.

DivxtoDVD only creates at full DVD res, so I don't see how it can produce video that is visually too small. It does not add borders though.

FitCD can create an avisynth script that adds the borders for you. Save it as an avs file, and then load this into winavi instead of the original avi file.

  5. There is a re-size function in the advance menu of Winavi.

I've hit this problem before. I usually use the Clip Frame options in TMPGEnc Plus or the resize filter in VirtualDub. Both can add the needed black bars to fill the overscan area quite nicely, bringing the hardsubs clearly on screen.
