  1. i burned 2 different cds and both came out with some weird sound (like static or so). one of them, it was on track 2-4. on the other cd, it was like 2 and 3. i dont remember exactly how many tracks, but the static starts on track 2 on both cd. asked my bro to burn me an identical cd and it played fine. btw, i played it in my car..

someone told me that its prolly my sound card when it tries to extract the sound or something. im not sure. anyone know what might be the problem and what solution there is for it? thanks!

It depends on how the copies were made .

Some cds produced have a new form of copy protection which cause's this problem , the time life collections have this , and is normally only done on 1 in 7 cds .

The best method is to use a program like audiograbber or cdex to rip the cds to a folder , then burn that folders content to a cd .

If your car cd player supports mp3 , both audiograbber and cdex will convert the audio tracks on the fly too mp3's , to be burned to cd later , which allows you to fit 20+ cds onto 1 cd ...

The only time your sound card comes into the bussiness is if you are importing the audio from a home stereo , like copying lp tracks or tapes .
