I've worked with various forms of digital video for years (mosty quicktime on the Mac for broadcast using Media 100.) Now I'm playing on the PC with the various MPEG formats. I've always wanted to make my own "movie" about Cycling (I have a site about Mountain Biking and have lots of footage and I've made some short videos...) Anyway, I would like to distribute these on CD for PC playback at the HIGHEST quality available.
VCD doesn't offer good enough quality and I haven't had luck with my SVCD settings yet. What would you reccomend as the best option for this... DiVX? I've been exporting these files direct from MainActor after editing.... would it be best to encode files that way or to export an AVI DV file (the source clips format) then encode with TMPENG to whatever?
Thanks for any input you guys have.
