I am sure this has already been asked but I've looked through the forums and can't find an answer..
My problem is:
I have a series of avi's about 30mins in length each and I want to put, say, 6 on a dvd. I know how to encode 1 so I get a video TS folder but in my understanding that will occupy a whole dvd. Am I able to move the contents of one Video TS folder into another one? or is it something more complicated thsn that?
Additionally as I understand it when I encode my avi, even if it is 1 minute long, if I use the DVD settings won't it encode the avi so it fits a whole dvd?
Finally, how long should I expect it to take to encode all the avi's, again say 6 avis that are half an hour long?
I hope I have put this in a sensible manner and you are able to understand my issues, Your support with others has already been a great help to me and I thank you in advance for any help you can provide with my query.

Encode each AVI but keep only the m2v/ac3 couples of files for each. Then use Sizzle or DVD Studio Pro to build them into a single DVD.

If you have Toast 6 or 7, you can drop your avis into its video tab, and it will encode them and burn to one DVD.
Or encode in ffmpegx and then get Toast to compile and burn to one DVD. In this case, untick 'author as dvd' as toast only needs the resulting .mpg file.
In ffmpegx, set it to encode each 30m avi to about 650mb. The encoding will take an 1-2 hours each or more, depending on your mac and the encoding settings.
There is a post about this issue in the Mac video forum somewhere.
